BALI National Award Winner 1998 - Grounds Maintenance of Business and Private Grounds

English Landscapes Maintenance has carried out grounds maintenance operations at HMS Nelson since 1997.

The contract comprised:

Maintenance of Hampshire County Wicket, an international Rugby Pitch, a full-sized artificial athletic track and all allied sports
Annual bedding, herbaceous borders, hanging baskets, and grass and hedge cutting
Floral decorations for all ward room functions, on board ship functions, royal visits and garden parties
Application of pesticides
Emergency 24 hour standby service
Shrub and rose bed planting and maintenance
Pond maintenance

This was a very specialist contract on a high security site, requiring a high level of horticultural and grounds maintenance expertise.
