English Landscapes Maintenance wins its largest contract in the North with Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council.

English Landscapes Limited centralises its Estimating Team at new offices in Coventry; pricing tenders on a national basis.
2005
English Landscapes and its parent company, The Landscape Group Limited, are acquired by the owners of Blue Diamond Services Limited, the UK’s No. 1 independent specialist cleaners.

English Landscapes wins Principal and National Awards at BALI 2005.
2004
English Landscapes wins principal, special and national awards at BALI 2004.

English Landscapes opens new office in York.  This in conjunction with Warrington and Warwick Regional Offices gives 'whole region coverage' in the North.  Southern Regional offices include Whitstable, Chichester and Newbury.
2003
Due to the sustained growth in the landscape construction and landscape maintenance businesses, English Landscapes Ltd and English Landscapes Maintenance Ltd are formed on the 1st October to focus on their respective core services of landscape construction and landscape maintenance

The Landscape Group Ltd is reaccredited as an Investor In People for the second time

English Landscapes wins two further BALI Awards, bringing the total national awards won to over 20

English Landscapes Maintenance wins a 15-year contract with Portsmouth City Council
2002
Forestry no longer formed part of the core business of the Group and consequently, in July 2002, English Woodlands is sold

English Landscapes launch a Client Satisfaction Programme to solicit the view of its clients on its performance
2001
English Landscapes opens a further new office in the Midlands, ensuring complete national coverage
2000
The Landscape Group Ltd is reaccredited as an Investor In People

English Landscapes wins a £4.5 million external works contract at the site of Vodafone's World Headquarters in Newbury
1999
English Landscapes is awarded a £2.5 million contract at the site of the Millennium Dome - this was the company's largest contract at that point

As part of a continued drive towards improved client satisfaction, English Landscapes introduces a Customer Focus System, which all staff adhere to and a Customer Careline to ensure more direct client comment
1998
Following a successful Management Buy Out in June 1998, The Landscape Group Ltd is formed, with English Landscapes and English Woodlands becoming trading divisions
1997
The Group is awarded the Investors in People standard
1995
The Group received its first investment by 3I plc

Following this investment, English Landscapes opens new offices in the North and the South West
1992
The central business development team is set up to ensure that the Group's planned growth in sales is controlled and that consistency is maintained in pricing and client service
1990
By this time nearly two thirds of the Group's turnover is landscaping related and so English Landscapes is created as a sister Company to English Woodlands
1919 - 1979
By the end of the 1970's, the Group added commercial landscape construction and term landscape maintenance to its forestry activities, trading as English Woodlands

From 1919 to the mid 1970's forestry management, timber harvesting and arboriculture formed the bulk of the Group's activities, based mainly in Southern England
