BALI National Landscape Award Winner 2004 - Mainly hard landscaping

English Landscapes completed the 'mainly hard landscaping' scheme at this prestigious residential and retail development in the heart of Sheffield, which consisted of the formation of two high level formal roof gardens, two courtyard gardens and a piazza.

The works undertaken included:

Installation of a Proprietary Green Roof System used to drain and irrigate the gardens and courtyards
Construction of a formal stepped entrance and ramped access using La Linea step units and brickwork
Construction of external planter walls and radius walls
Laying of 1500 square metres of Chines Granite of varying sizes
Laying of La Linea setts and decorative gravel
Laying of timber decking
Construction of specially made laminated timber pergolas
Shrub and accent planting
Planting of trees
Laying of turf
Installation of garden lighting, bollards, litter bins, cycle stands and bench seating
