English Landscapes completed the landscaping at this reclaimed colliery site. The final usage of the site is as an interpretation centre, woodland park and focal point for the activities of the National Forest.

Extensive excavation and ground remodelling works Construction of 2,600 metres of footpaths surfaced with Breedon gravel Construction of raised timber boardwalk, small footbridge and granite sett weir Construction of a balcony area made from railway sleepers Construction of a central circular core feature in Bardon Europave and edged with Yorkshire paving Installation of land drainage and soakaways Supply and planting of 10,000 native trees and shrubs and over 8,000 square metres of grass seeding Planting of aquatics and wildflower plugs Supply and laying of live willow fascines Installation of 1,200 metres of rabbit fencing
