Below is a brief resume of our core people and their role within the company.

Michelle Maybury
Operations Director
Michelle has worked within the horticultural industry for over 16 years, previously working in public sector finance. More recently she has undertaken senior roles within the grounds maintenance industry.
Michelle initially joined The Landscape Group in 2010 to head up the Group Business Development Department and has now moved to an Operational Directors post. Michelle is using her extensive operational and commercial experience with Local Authority contracts and successful track record of business development to deliver innovative, cost effective and practical solutions to new and existing clients.

Neil Farmer
Business Development Manager (Landscape Construction)
Neil joined English Landscapes in 2002 with 22 years previous experience within landscape construction. He has a wide range of expertise having undertaken roles including quantity surveying, and contract and commercial management.
Neil's main function is to lead English Landscapes'bids from tender to operational handover and to act in a client facing role furthering partnerships and continuing to build on our existing growth.
Neil has a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering.

Angus Lindsay
Group Head of Assets and Fleet Management
Angus is an established and experienced engineer having spent over 16 years in the green sector.
He is responsible for English Landscapes' assets and fleet, and for meeting the challenge of developing efficient mechanisation techniques that satisfy the demands of an increasingly competitive marketplace.
Angus' role encompasses specialist contract support, health & safety, legal compliance, training provision, technical back-up and problem solving to ensure a cost effective and safe use of assets.

David Brew
Operations Director
David has worked within the horticultural industry for 16 years in both the Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping sectors. He has been a Director of Wyevale Grounds Maintenance for ten years, the last six as Managing Director.
David joined The Landscape Group in 2010 following the acquisition of Wyevale Grounds Maintenance and brings a wealth of experience in the wining and managing of a wide range of public sector let contracts within the grounds maintenance, landscaping and street cleansing sectors.
David holds MBA and BSc (Hort) degrees.

Philip Wraight
Area Manager South East (Construction)
Phil has worked for English Landscapes since 1990 currently as Area Manager and previously Contracts Manager. During that time he has been responsible for a number of successful and high profile schemes including The Dome, The Royal Naval College and many Heritage Lottery funded restoration projects. Phil has over 27 years experience in the industry and specialises in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary, hard and soft landscaping contracts.
As Area Manager, Phil acts as the conduit between the client and the ‘site’ and is highly experienced in delivering value engineered and practical design solutions.

Phil Topping
Area Manager North (Construction)
Phil joined English Landscapes in 2004 as Contract Manager bringing with him over 30 years experience in the industry.
Now, as Area Manager for the North, Phil specialises in delivering prestigious high quality schemes such as Media City in Manchester, Edge Lane in Liverpool and Aston Hall Park and Gardens in Birmingham, with a keen eye to quality, time and budget.
Phil is an excellent communicator and is well placed to provide assistance with cost and design solutions.

Simon Foley
Quality, Health and Environmental Systems Manager
Simon is responsible for the co-ordination, implementation and development of the group-wide Integrated Management System, incorporating Quality, Health and Environmental Management.
With over 15 years experience of operational management and having previously worked in a variety of roles, include Contract and Regional Management, he is well placed to provide both practical and systems based support to Operational Management.

San Johal
Group Head of Human Resources
San joined English Landscapes in January 2010 as Group Head of Human Resources and is responsible for the HR function across the Group.
She has previously worked in senior HR roles in a number of industries, including retail, aviation and energy supply.
San has extensive experience of working within companies that have a national footprint and a largely blue collar field based workforce.

Sarah Pang
Human Resources Manager
Sarah has over ten years HR experience predominately in the green and facilities management sector. Sarah joined The Landscape Group in November 2009 as the Group’s Human Resources Manager.
Sarah has extensive commercial and operational experience dealing largely with blue collar workers. She undertakes a national Group role and is the primary contact for operational managers with whom she works in partnership dealing with people management issues. Sarah has extensive experience of managing and delivering key TUPE transfers for The Landscape Groups’ new contracts.

Lee Webster
Operations Director
Lee Webster has worked for English Landscapes since 1998 and has been an integral part in the development of the North of England and Midlands regions. Lee has extensive knowledge of hard and soft landscaping which includes cost management and commercial awareness without compromising the quality of the project.
Lee has also been involved in numerous Framwork Agreements and has vast knowledge of the implementation of NEC forms of contract amongst others.

Nick Temple-Heald
Chief Executive Officer
As a graduate with a First Class honours degree in Chemistry, Nick has extensive experience in the manufacturing, services and horticultural industries, particularly in grounds management and other green services such as arboriculture, golf management, environmental consultancy and waste management, organic materials and growing media.
In May 2009 Nick was appointed Chief Executive of the Landscape Group.
He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge gained during eighteen years in the wider horticulture industry and has specific skills in operational management and business development. He is a qualified Health and Safety management professional a subject that is very important to Nick and one that he oversees personally.
